Emirates to Resume Flights to Saudi Arabia

Emirates will resume service to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday, 11 September and to St. Petersburg on 8 October 2021.

Emirates will begin operating 24 weekly flights to Saudi Arabia, including daily flights to the capital Riyadh, daily A380 flights to Jeddah, daily flights to Dammam and thrice weekly flights to Medina.

Flights to Riyadh will increase to double daily from 16 September, and plans are underway to boost frequencies across other gateways by the end of September.

To Riyadh, Emirates will operate EK 2817 daily, departing Dubai at 16:40 and landing at King Khalid International Airport at 17:40. EK 2818 leaves Riyadh at 20:10, arriving back in Dubai at 23:20.

To Jeddah, Emirates will operate EK 2803 daily, departing Dubai at 16:00 and landing at King Abdulaziz International Airport at 18:00h. EK 2804 leaves Jeddah at 20:00, arriving back in Dubai at 01:00 the next day.

To Dammam, Emirates will operate EK 2821 daily, leaving Dubai at 20:50 to arrive at King Fahd International Airport at 21:20. EK 2822 leaves Dammam at 22:45, arriving back in Dubai at 01:00 the next day.

To Medina, Emirates will operate EK 2809 thrice weekly. The flight departs from Dubai at 16:30, arriving at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport at 18:00. EK 2810 leaves Medina at 20:00, arriving back in Dubai at 23:40.

From 8 October, flights between Dubai and St Petersburg will operate four times a week, and the airline will increase its services to daily flights from 21 October. All flights will be operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration.

Emirates flight EK 173 and 174 will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while EK 175 and 176 will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturday and Sundays.

EK 173 is scheduled to depart Dubai at 09:10 to arrive at St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport at 14:15. EK 174 leaves St Petersburg at 16:45 and arrives back in Dubai at 23:45 local time.

EK 175 takes off from Dubai at 15:45 and arrives in St Petersburg at 20:50. Flight EK176 is timed to leave Pulkovo Airport at 23:15, landing in Dubai at 06:15, the next day.

Emirates has been gradually rebuilding its global network, and has now resumed passenger services to over 120 passenger destinations.

Over the summer travel months of July and August, the airline handled nearly 1.2 million customers at its hub, compared to 402,000 customers during the same period in 2020.
