Whitbread's First Premier Inn Hotel on Guernsey to Open in February

(13 Dec 2021)  ComProp, one of Whitbread’s development partners, has completed the first Premier Inn hotel on Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

The 100-room hotel, scheduled to open in early 2022, marks a significant step towards the completion of Phase 1 of the Admiral Park development at St Peter Port where the Premier Inn Guernsey St Peter Port (Admiral Park) hotel is located.

Managing Director of Comprop, Steve Marie, said, “Everyone connected with this project has pulled together through these unprecedented times – maintaining our close working relationship with the Planning Department, and being supported by local utilities and service providers, including the fire service, all of whom we wish to thank for their part in getting us to this important stage. We will be completing the remainder of the infrastructure by the end of January and the restaurant/brasserie will follow thereafter.”

Whitbread is now actively recruiting between 25 and 30 permanent staff for the hotel, and interested parties are encouraged to email the company directly.

Whitbread is looking ahead to an exciting 2022 in the Channel Islands as alongside the new opening at St Peter Port, Whitbread is also opening a 122-bedroom Premier Inn at Bath Street in St Helier, Jersey in February.

Together, the new hotels grow Premier Inn’s network to three locations in the Channel Islands – and a total of 319 rooms.
