Outrigger has made the following two
appointments at the
nine-hectare (22-acre) oceanfront property on Hawaii Island that
is scheduled to
re-open as the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa in late August.
Seasoned hospitality executive, Steve Solberg,
will be the resorts General Manager and Christine San Nicolas,
who has been with Outrigger for more than two decades, will be
Director of Human Resources.
Steve was GM at the Outrigger Guam Beach Resort for
nearly six years and has held senior positions with Marriott, The
Kimpton Hotel Group and Promus Hotels.
He holds a Bachelor
of Business Administration from Northwood University in Michigan,
USA.
Christine worked as Director of Human
Resources (HR) at the Outrigger Guam Beach Resort from 2016 before
moving to Hawaii last
year as Senior Director - Human Resources, in
Outriggers corporate office.
Before moving to the HR department,
Christine was a Director of Finance for Outrigger.
Christine holds two Associate of Arts degrees: one in
fashion merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Design and
Merchandising in San Francisco and the other in business
administration from San Francisco State University.
Christine is a member of the Society for
Human Resource Management.
