Melia is just a few weeks away from opening its third
hotel in Thailand.
The Spanish hotel company already operates a
much-loved property on Koh Samui, and will open the
Melia Chiang Mai in late December.
Now a third property is also scheduled to open in December, the Melia Phuket Mai Khao, located on eight acres of Phuket’s northwestern coastline, close to attractions such as Sirinat National Park, Mai Khao Marine
Turtle Foundation, and Wat Phra Thong temple.
The
Mediterranean-inspired accommodation comprises of 30 one-bedroom
suites and 70 one-bedroom villas that each cater for up to two
adults and two children. All feature outdoor bathtubs, open-air
showers and vast outdoor terraces.
The 78sqm suites are complemented by cabanas and
the 85sqm one-bedroom villas have private plunge pools.
Fifteen
“wellness villas” feature an open-air Vitamin C shower, daily
massage, ultrasonic essential oil diffuser, air
purifier, Tempur-Pedic pillows, fit ball and yoga mat.
“With its breathtaking beauty and serenity, there
isn’t a more desirable place to be on the water than Mai Khao
Beach,” said Ms Magdalena Martorell, Melia Phuket Mai Khao’s
General Manager. “We’re looking incredibly forward to unveiling a
bleisure resort defined by a distinct focus on customer
wellbeing with Melia’s sunny Spanish hospitality and passion for
service.”
Facilities at the resort include a variety of F&B
outlets - including a beach club, a 300 sqm spa with five treatment
rooms, a fitness center, kids club, saltwater swimming pools, a
reflection pond with sunken seating areas, water gardens, and a
choice of event spaces.
The Melia Phuket Mai Khao is just a
15-minute drive away from Phuket International Airport.
A fourth Melia hotel is scheduled to open in Bangkok in
2022.
