Hamad International Airport (HIA) has achieved ISO/IEC
27001:2013 certification, following an extensive assessment of the
airport’s Information Security Management System by Bureau Veritas
in October 2020.
Achieving this certification affirms the airport's
ongoing commitment to implement industry best practices to manage
the airport’s information security and to continuously enhance its
information security management system.
Mr. Hossam Refaey, Country Chief Executive of
Bureau Veritas, said, “We would like to congratulate the entire
team of HIA, for their collective efforts that has resulted in
being certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 international standard. This
accomplishment is a testimony of HIA’s commitment towards

HIA has been ranked the “Third Best Airport in the
World” by the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2020 and was one of the
first airports to be awarded a 5-star
COVID19 Airport Safety Rating by Skytrax.
