Mandarin Oriental has appointed Matthew Bishop as a
Director and Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 September 2021.
Matthew will take over from Craig Beattie, the
current Chief Financial Officer, who will be appointed as Chief
Financial Officer of Hongkong Land Holdings Limited with effect
from the same date.
Matthew joined Jardine Matheson in 2010 and has
held a number of senior finance roles across the group, most
recently as Group Treasurer of Jardine Matheson since December
2018.
Prior to that, Matthew was a diplomat with the Foreign &
Commonwealth Office in Beijing and London. He holds a law
degree and is a chartered accountant.
James Riley, Group Chief
Executive, said, “I would like to thank Craig for the major
contribution he has made to the Group since his appointment as
Chief Financial Officer in November 2018. This has included
playing an instrumental role in helping the Group navigate one of
the most difficult periods in its history as it has addressed the
challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We wish Craig every
success in his new role. I am also delighted that Matthew will be
joining the Group and look forward to working with him.”
Mandarin Oriental is
incorporated in Bermuda and has a standard listing on the London
Stock Exchange, with secondary listings in Bermuda and Singapore.
It is a member of the Jardine Matheson Group.
