Rosewood has signed a management contract with Grupo Sordo Madaleno
for the group's fifth hotel in Mexico.
Scheduled to open in 2024, the Rosewood Mexico
City will be located in the Polanco district,
within walking distance of renowned luxury shopping district, Avenida Presidente Masaryk, as well as esteemed cultural
institutions including Museo Soumaya and Museo Jumex.
Designed by
Mexico City-based architecture firm Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos,
Rosewood Mexico City will occupy the grand tower of Antara’s new-build expansion.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, Antara is a famous mixed-use development which also comprises
offices, retail outlets, restaurants, and
entertainment venues.
The Rosewood Mexico City will feature 133
rooms - including 35 suites, four F&B outlets, two swimming pools, a
state-of-the-art fitness and wellbeing center with eight treatment
rooms, changing rooms and hydrotherapy areas.
The hotel will also have 1,270 square meters of dedicated
meeting and event spaces.

Upon opening, Rosewood Mexico City will
add to the group’s collection of hotels
and resorts in Mexico, including Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A
Rosewood Resort in Los Cabos, Rosewood Mayakoba in Riviera Maya,
Rosewood San Miguel de Allende and Rosewood Mandarina opening in
2023.
The property will also be Rosewood Hotels &
Resorts’ 20th in the Americas and joins the brand’s
largest growth pipeline to date with 22 projects across the globe.
