The Oetker Collection has appointed Alessio
Minetto as General Manager of The Woodward, Geneva.
Hailing from Italy, with over 20 years of
international luxury hospitality experience, Alessio will oversee
the group’s latest Masterpiece Hotel and first property in
Switzerland.
Alessio Minetto
Alessio studied in the US, UK and at the highly respected Swiss École Hôtelière de
Lausanne.
His hospitality career commenced at the Four
Seasons Hotel George V, Paris and has taken him to Italy, Monaco and China,
working for several of
the world’s most prestigious hotels, including Hotel Plaza
Athenée, Paris; La Posta Vecchia, Rome; Hotel de Paris, Monaco;
and The Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai.
Alessio most recently held the
role of General Manager at Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa in
Ischia.
“I
am thrilled to join The Woodward on the beautiful shores or Lake
Geneva,” Alessio said. “This debut marks the arrival of a ‘grand boutique’ hotel
in the destination – offering extraordinary design and amenities
yet intimate and welcoming in size and spirit with just 26 suites.
Between the magnificent work of award-winning designer
Pierre-Yves Rochon and two Michelin-starred restaurant concepts on
site, The Woodward represents a gleaming new gem on the Geneva
hospitality landscape, and I look forward to ensuring our guests
have an outstanding experience.”
