Mr. Wuttipong Tanteraponchai has been appointed as
Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing of the Melia Koh Samui and
Melia Chiang Mai, the group's two hotels in Thailand.
Prior to joining Melia, Khun Wuttipong spent a
year working as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Sukhothai
Bangkok, and before that was with The Okura Prestige Bangkok for
more than seven years, firstly as Director of Sales for two years
before being promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing.
Khun Wuttipong also worked with Mandarin Oriental
for 4 years, spent just over 2 years at the Westin Grande
Sukhumvit as DOS, 3 years at the Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa as
DOS and 1 and 1/2 years with Pan Pacific Hotels Group in Singapore
as DOS.
Khun Wuttipong embarked on his hospitality career
in early 1991 as a tour coordinator at The Royal Cliff Beach
Resort in Pattaya, steadily rising up the ranks as a guest service
agent at The Mansion Kempinski Bangkok and The Royal Orchid
Sheraton & Towers before becoming the assistant manager in the
front office at The Embassy Suite Windsor Palace’s front office.
He then moved into sales when he joined the Novotel Bangkok on
Siam Square.

Mai
Previously operating as the Imperial Boat House, Meliá
has completely revamped and upgraded this very special and much
loved property on Koh Samui’s Choeng
Mon Beach. Today, the Meliá Koh Samui resort features
159 rooms, 41 suites including “boat suites” made from refurbished

Slated to debut in the fourth quarter of 2021, the 260-room Meliá Chiang Mai will
feature a 360-degree rooftop bar, an executive lounge, two restaurants, a pool
bar and lobby bar, spa, gymnasium, ballroom and other function
venues, kid’s club and more.
