British Airways Resumes Passenger Flights Between Singapore and London Heathrow

British Airways operated its first passenger flight between Singapore and London Heathrow since late December 2020 on Wednesday.

The passenger flights will initially operate four times per week departing Singapore on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

BA012 is timed to depart from Changi Airport at 23:15 and arrive at London Heathrow at 05:50 the following day.

From London Heathrow, BA011 will take off on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, at 19:55 to arrive at Changi Airport in Singapore at 16:05 the following day.

Noella Ferns, British Airways’ Head of Sales, Asia Pacific, said, “We are delighted to be able to reunite families and friends with their loved ones after such a long time apart. The safety of our customers and colleagues has always been at the heart of everything we do. We have also introduced a range of precautionary measures to provide stress and hassle-free travel.”

The operation of flights is subject to potential scheduling changes and customers are strongly advised to check latest travel restrictions, regulations and requirements before purchasing their tickets.

British Airways has also recently partnered with Dettol to offer a range of products to keep its customers and colleagues safe in the air and on ground.

The airline cleans all key surfaces including seats, screens, seat buckles and tray tables after every flight and each aircraft is completely cleaned from nose to tail every day.

Alongside the introduction of Dettol products at the airport and onboard, British Airways continues to implement a range of measures that it requires customers and colleagues to observe, which include:

- Observing government regulations around advice around travel;

- Asking customers not to travel if they think they have any symptoms of COVID19;

- Wearing facemasks and bringing enough to replace them every four hours for longer flights;

- Checking-in online, downloading a boarding pass to a mobile device where possible for self-scanning at security and the departure gate;

- Observing social distancing and using hand sanitisers that are placed throughout airports; and

- Asking customers to ensure they have everything they need from their hand luggage before departure, and where possible, storing their carry-on bag under the seat in front of them.

Both one-way and return tickets between London Heathrow and Singapore are now available to book on BA's website, with fares starting from SG$1005.
