Cornelia Samara has joined the Four Seasons Hotel
Philadelphia at Comcast Center as General Manager.
Cornelia was born in Jerusalem as a German
national with Palestinian roots and grew up immersed in the
hospitality industry as her family owned a travel agency.
A graduate of Hawaii Pacific University, the past
ten years of Cornelia's career have been spent as General Manager
of two Andaz hotels in New York as well as the Four Seasons Hotel
at The Surf Club as General Manager, her most recent assignment
before moving to Philadelphia.
Prior to becoming GM, Cornelia spent over 7 years
working as Director or Rooms and Senior Director of Rooms at
different Hyatt hotels in San Francisco, Boston and Washington
D.C.
Cornelia has lived in and visited countries all over
the world. Not only has she visited quite a few countries within
Southeast Asia, she has also lived in Singapore for a year.
Cornelia has moved to Philadelphia with her
chihuahua, Rosie.
“I
got her from a shelter called Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue,”
Cornelia recalls with a laugh. “They’d rescued her from a kill
shelter in Georgia and called her ‘Rosalynn Carter’. I just call
her ‘Rosie.’"
