Air Caledonie has signed a five-year Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA)
extension with ATR.
The contract, which already
covered Pool and Repair for Line Replaceable Units for the airline’s
four ATR 72-600 aircraft, adds Line Replaceable Units P/N and
Propeller Services to the deal.
David Brigante, SVP Customer Support and Services
at ATR, said, “This contract represents another step in our shared
journey with Air Caledonie which stretches back around 35 years to
the delivery of the company’s first ATR 42. An aircraft is only
valuable when it is flying and that is why it is vital that we
provide the best possible service to our clients. Air Caledonie’s
decision to extend and enhance their contract shows the quality of
support that we are delivering. To meet the needs of an airline
that is providing essential connectivity in a geography as diverse
as New Caledonia is a real source of pride for ATR and truly
demonstrates the value of our GMA.”
Air Caledonie uses its ATR aircraft to provide essential
connectivity throughout New Caledonia’s network of
archipelagos, giving passengers vital access to economic and
educational opportunities, as well as supporting the provision of
healthcare.
Eric Broutte, Technical Director of Air Caledonie,
said, “Optimising maintenance costs is always important for a
regional airline, but during these uncertain times, it is crucial
to have support that you can rely on. ATR’s commitment to and
investment in the support and services they provide makes a real
difference to airlines. Extending our relationship with ATR also
means that we will continue to benefit from their unrivalled
expertise and experience with the aircraft. We are happy to be
signing on for another five years.”
