Artotel Rebrands Hotel in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

(07 Dec 2021)  The Artotel Group has taken over the management of a hotel in Yogyakarta and rebranded it as the Artotel Suites Bianti - Yogyakarta, the group's second hotel in the city.

The company plans to transform the 10-year old property - which most recently operated as the Grand Aston Yogyakarta - into an artsy, lifestyle hotel by refreshing the building facade, public areas, guest rooms and 3 F&B outlets.

Artotel Suites Bianti - Yogyakarta is located on Jl. Urip Sumoharjo, in the middle of the largest fabric shopping center in Central Java, and very close to the office center in Yogyakarta.

The hotel features 141 rooms with 4 room types, Artsy Studio, Artsy Executive, Artsy Suites, and Presidential Suites.

Facilities at the hotel include 4 meeting rooms, an all day dining restaurant, beer garden, pastry shop, sky lounge, fitness center, outdoor swimming pool and a spa.

Imant Setiawan, CHA., CRMH, General Manager of Artotel Suites Bianti - Yogyakarta, said, “Our hotel owner is very interested in the lifestyle concept that Artotel Group brings in operating its hotel chain, so the management decided to appoint Artotel Group to be our next hotel operator with a goal that our hotel will always be a preferred destination for local and International tourists who come to Yogyakarta by keeping up the growing market demand.

“Therefore, we agreed to change the hotel concept into an artistic hotel and operate our F & B outlets into stand-alone restaurants and bars to be well known hangout places in Yogyakarta in accordance with direction from Artotel Group team.

“The renovation process will be carried out within 3 months with a target in March 2022 Artotel Suites Bianti - Yogyakarta will have a new 'face'.
