Dusit Signs Luxury Hotel in Zhejiang, China

Dusit, one of Thailand’s leading hotel and property development companies, has signed a management agreement with Zhejiang Xinyishang Tourism Development Company Limited to manage a new luxury wellness resort in an area of outstanding natural beauty just outside Hangzhou, one of the most prosperous cities in China.

Set to comprise 300 villas and guest rooms overlooking Moganshan’s rolling hills and tea plantations, the Dusit Thani Resort Moganshan, Zhejiang will be just 10 minutes by car from the high-speed train station, one hour from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, and 30 minutes from Hangzhou city centre. Shanghai can be reached in just under two hours.

Guests wishing to take a break from the urban sprawl will find plenty of options for biking, hiking, and relaxing in lush green landscapes dotted with restored 19th-century mansions. They will also have access to a comprehensive programme of wellness-focused activities and experiences specially crafted to enhance their overall well-being.

The first phase of the project, comprising 100 villas and guest rooms, is slated to open later this year. Facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant, wellness centre with an outdoor swimming pool and Dusit’s signature Devarana Spa offering private hot springs pools and a wide range of personalised wellness treatments and therapies.

Phase two of the property, comprising 200 guest rooms and villas, two specialty restaurants, outdoor recreation facilities, a grand ballroom and conference facilities, is set to follow in 2023.

Dusit’s portfolio now includes 347 properties operating under six brands across 15 countries. In China, the company currently operates 10 hotels and has more than 20 properties in the pipeline.
