Sunway has appointed Marc Groh as General
Manager of The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat in Ipoh, the state
capital of Perak in Malaysia.
A German national and a graduate of the Hotel
Management School in Heidelberg, Marc has over 25 years of
experience working in the global luxury hospitality industry.

Marc's career thus far spans several countries. He has
overseen the Akaryn Hotel Group’s boutique hotels in Hua Hin and
Koh Samui, Karma Group’s mountain resort in Bavaria, and most
recently served as Group Development Manager of Hotel Management
Asia, which owns two luxury villa properties in southern Thailand.

Lumpur city, three hours from Kuala Lumpur International Airport
(KLIA) and only two hours from Penang,

Retreat is nestled in a 22.7-acre valley surrounded by lush
jungle, soaring peaks and hidden caves. The property is home to geothermal springs that bubble up from
the Earth, providing a spectacular setting for guests to relax, refresh their
senses and reconnect with nature.
