Langham Hospitality has appointed Philip
Ding as Head of Operations, Vice President China.
Based in the
Shanghai Corporate Office for mainland China, Philip will oversee the
China portfolio of hotels and resorts, leading all aspects of
the group’s operations including sales, revenue, marketing, food and
beverage, human resources, finance as well as design and technical
service.

Philip has over 25 years of
experience in travel and hospitality. Most recently he served as
Head of Commercial Performance, Greater China for InterContinental
Hotels Group (IHG) where he also led several milestone projects, including the inauguration and
launch of Hualuxe Brand and prominent hotel projects in the
gateway cities in United States of America.
“With Langham Hospitality Group’s continued
strategic focus on China where we currently have half our
portfolio, we are adding talent and allocating additional
resources to enhance and support our operations and expand our
presence in China,” said Brett Butcher, Chief Executive Officer of
Langham Hospitality Group. “With multi-disciplinary exposure and
experience in operating existing and developing new brands, I am
confident that Philip will take our China operations to a new
level.”
Born and raised in China, Philip holds a MSc
Tourism and Hospitality Management from Sheffield Hallam
University in the UK.

group’s commitment to owners and developers as well as enhancing
the guest experience,” Philip said. “China has shown remarkable
resilience with its speedy recovery from COVID19, opening doors
