Bangkok Airways has unveiled plans to support
Thailands Phuket Sandbox program by operating two special
sealed-route flights per day from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) near
Bangkok to Phuket (HKT), starting from 1 February 2022.
The special sealed-route flights from Bangkok to
Phuket will be operated with ATR72-600 aircraft.
The first
outbound flight, PG5275 is scheduled to depart from Suvarnabhumi
Airport at 12:00 and arrive in Phuket
at 14:05.
The second outbound flight, PG5279 is timed to
depart from
Suvarnabhumi Airport at 17:10 and arrive in Phuket
at 19:15.

Once the planes arrive in Phuket they will be
thoroughly disinfected and used to operate flights to places such
as Koh Samui (USM) and Hat Yai (HDY).
Passengers traveling on the sealed
flights from Bangkok are required to follow guidelines issued by the Centre for
COVID19 Situation Administration (CCSA) which requires that each
passenger entering the kingdom of Thailand to possess the
complete set of the relevant documents which at press time includes:
- Certificate
of Entry (COE);
- Medical certificate with a laboratory result
indicating that COVID-19 is not detected (done by RT-PCR technique
and issued no more than 72 hours before traveling);
- Vaccine
Certificate or proof of vaccination;
- Travel health insurance
(worldwide or including Thailand) covering health care and
treatment expenses for COVID19 disease, or any other guarantee
valid throughout their stay in the Kingdom with a coverage of no
less than 50,000 USD; and
All passengers must undergo
required COVID19 tests (RT-PCR method) during their stay in
Thailand.
