Noella Ferns, British Airways Head of Sales, Asia
Pacific, said, We cant wait to welcome our customers back on
board our Sydney flights reuniting families and friends with their
loved ones after such a long time apart. The safety of our customers and colleagues has
always been at the heart of everything we do. We know some
customers wont have flown for a long time, and we can assure them
we have a range of COVID19 measures in place to provide stress
and hassle-free travel.
On Monday, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) removed the pre-departure test requirements for all passengers
transferring or transiting through Singapore.
Arriving passengers in Singapore no longer need to
perform an on-arrival PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test at
Changi Airport and the seven-day ART testing after arrival has also ceased.
Instead, travellers have up to 24 hours from their
entry into Singapore to take a supervised self-swab (SSS) Antigen
Rapid Test (ART) at one of the testing centres located across
Singapore.
To help customers navigate the changing entry
requirement and facilitate a seamless journey, customers can
choose to download the VeriFLY app before departing to London. The
digital health app allows customers to combine their travel
verification documents and COVID19 test results in one place and
confirming their eligibility with a few simple steps.
