Marriott to Open Seven Fairfield Hotels in Japan This Year

(22 Mar 2022, 10:47 +07)  Marriott will this year expand its portfolio of Fairfield hotels in Japan by opening seven properties across the five prefectures of Nara, Hokkaido, Hyogo and Okayama.

The openings are expected to expand the brand's portfolio to a total of 21 hotels across 9 prefectures in the country by the end of the year.

The brand expansion continues the momentum of the Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no-Eki project in Japan, a partnership with Sekisui House that dates back to 2018.

The new hotels will be built in key locations near roadside rest stations called “Michi-no-Eki” in Japan, situated close to national parks and UNESCO World Heritage sites that unlock access to many undiscovered destinations.

Guest rooms at each Fairfield by Marriott Hotel range in size from 21 to 25 square meters, and feature comfortable beds, complimentary Wi-Fi and a space-saving shower booth. The hotels also offer a Breakfast Bento Box in collaboration with the neighbouring roadside stations.

The seven Fairfield hotels scheduled to open in 2022 are:

Fairfield by Marriott Nara Tenri Yamanobenomichi - 99 rooms, opened 21 March.

Fairfield by Marriott Hokkaido Eniwa - 102 rooms, opening 26 May.

Fairfield by Marriott Hokkaido Naganuma - 78 rooms, opening 26 May.

Fairfield by Marriott Hokkaido Minamifurano - 78 rooms, opening 23 June.

Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Kannabe Highland - 73 rooms, opening November 2022.

Fairfield by Marriott Okayama Hiruzen Highland - 99 rooms, opening November 2022.

Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Minamiawaji - 100 rooms, opening December 2022.
