The Sofitel
Sydney Darling Harbour hotel has installed VingCard
Essence door locks and Liverton self check-in kiosks.
By leveraging Assa Abloy’s technology and strategic
relationship with Liverton, the 5-star property has upgraded guest security whilst also
providing enhanced convenience and reducing physical touchpoints.
The 590-room property is one of the first Sofitel-branded hotels to adopt self check-in
kiosk technology.
Able to integrate with the property's Liverton self
check-in kiosks, the adoption of Assa Abloy technology
further provides property guests with the ability to swiftly and
securely receive their room key without having to visit the front
desk.
Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour has upgraded its door locks and installed self check-in kiosks.
Guests can also use the kiosks to check-out and pay their
bill, ensuring enhanced social distancing measures and reducing
the risk of potential germ exposure.
The kiosks also allow the
hotel to re-deploy staff resources to other tasks that are more
influential in enhancing guest experiences while benefiting from
increased labor savings.
“We strive to provide our guests with a truly
exceptional world-class experience, and meeting their evolving
safety and comfort needs is the critical first step in doing so,”
said Jerry Schwartz, owner of Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour. “The installation process was swift and painless. Not only does
Assa Abloy’s technology exceed our expectations
for enhanced security and convenience, but the company’s stellar
local service ensures that any support we may need is only a phone
call away.”
VingCard
Essence houses all its components inside the hotel room door, with
only
a small RFID reader on display to guests. The solution is also equipped with the industry's most
advanced security protocols, including anti-key cloning
abilities that leverage advanced data encryption to eliminate the
risk of unauthorized access.
The presence of VingCard Essence also allows the property to instantly activate Mobile Access whenever desired.
Once activated, Mobile Access can provide guests with the ability
to digitally check-in and access their rooms through their own
personal devices, further limiting exposure to germs and reducing
touchpoints.
