Mallorca Home to First Kimpton Resort in Europe

The Kimpton Aysla Mallorca is located in the town of Santa Ponsa in Calvià, only 14 kms from Palma de Mallorca, 20 minutes from the airport and a stone’s throw away from some of the island’s most prestigious leisure clubs, such as the Mallorca Country Club, a regular practice ground for some of the world’s top tennis players, and Golf Santa Ponsa, a large golf complex with two 18-hole PGA European tour courses, a 9-hole course and a driving range.

Designed by renowned local architect Guillermo Reynés, Kimpton Aysla Mallorca has 79-room with large floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies, a rain shower and separate bathtub.

Open year-round, Kimpton Aysla Mallorca will be home to two restaurants, two bars, two outdoor swimming pools and a 900 sqm Maison Codage Paris spa with an indoor pool, mud baths, sauna, salt cave and seven treatment rooms.

The hotel will also offer bookable workshops with resident artisans on the island, designed to educate guests about local traditions. For example, an organised visit to a local workshop that produces tailor-made, handcrafted Majorcan artisanal shoes, allows guests to learn about shoes, see how they are made and take a personalised pair home with them.

Seven Kimpton properties are set to open in new city and resort locations around the world this year. Recent notable openings include Kimpton Margot Sydney, Kimpton St Honoré Paris, and Kimpton Vividora Hotel in Barcelona.

The brand is also set to make its debut in Bali this year, with more hotels in the pipeline for Germany, Mexico, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and Netherlands in the next 3-5 years.
