IATA requires all
members to be audited every two years in order to ensure the
airline meets almost 1,000 IOSA safety and quality standards.
Audits are conducted by specialist organizations accredited by
IATA, with the same organization prevented from auditing the
airline consecutively.
Air Astana completed C-checks on two
Airbus A321 aircraft at its technical base in Nur-Sultan in late
2021 and has plans for C-checks on eight more aircraft this year.
The airline, based in Kazakhstan, also provides third-party maintenance services to airlines
including Turkish, Lufthansa, Fly Dubai, Air Arabia, Wizz Air,
Asiana, Qatar, Lot, Azal and Cargolux.
