The Peninsula Istanbul Appoints Özlem Öktem as Director of Sales & Marketing

(28 July 2022, 11:36 +07) The Peninsula Istanbul has appointed Özlem Öktem as Director of Sales & Marketing.

Özlem Öktem

Özlem has more than 17 years of luxury hospitality industry experience, mostly working in executive sales roles at top-tier hotels in her native Turkey.

Prior to joining the pre-opening team at The Peninsula Istanbul, Özlem worked as Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Sales & Marketing and Rooms at the Shangri-La Bosphorus.

Özlem has also worked at the Grand Tarabya Istanbul, The Ritz-Carlton Istanbul, Kempinski Barbaros Bay Bodrum, Çiragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul and sits on the supervisory board of TUED, the International Events Association of Turkey that represents ILEA (International Live Events Association).

In her new role at the 177-room Peninsula Istanbul, Özlem will oversee all sales and marketing initiatives for the newest property in The Peninsula Hotels’ luxury portfolio – including sales, revenue management, brand marketing and communications, digital marketing and events.
