Smiths Detections HI-SCAN 100100V-2is hi-speed
X-Ray scanner has been added to the U.S. Transportation Security
Administrations (TSA) Air Cargo Screening Technology List
(ACSTL).
The ACSTL serves as TSAs official guide for
regulated parties to use when procuring screening devices.
Devices
deemed qualified, like Smiths Detections standard, and now its
hi-speed model of HI-SCAN 100100V-2is, have undergone formalized
TSA-sponsored test processes and meet the highest standards for
security in the aviation sector.
Smiths Detection HI-SCAN 100100V-2is
A super-fast belt speed of 0.5 m/s, combined with
dual-view, high quality imaging accelerates inspection times,
making the hi-speed HI-SCAN 100100V-2is suitable for large-volume
screening applications.
It can also support heavy loads of up to
200kg (440 lbs), while its large tunnel eases handling of out of
gauge baggage.
The HI-SCAN 100100V-2is is also much smaller compared to similar
systems, which is especially advantageous to express forwarders, mail
screening and e-commerce facilities, as well as mass transit
checkpoints.
Both the HI-SCAN 100100V-2is and its hi-speed
model are also ECAC compliant, allowing integration into material
handling systems and connectivity to centralized screening
applications for increased efficiency throughout European
airports.
Both models can be further enhanced by iCMORE automated
threat/target identification software for lithium batteries and
weapons to increase security.
