Centara has has taken over the management of a
526-room hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The hotel, which was previously operating as the
Holiday Inn Chiang Mai, has been rebranded as the Centara
Riverside Hotel Chiang Mai.
Located close to the old
town next to the Ping River and a 15-minute drive from
Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX), the hotel’s guestrooms range
in size from 45 to 223 square metres and feature floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the
city, Ping River and Doi Suthep.
Facilities at the hotel include a choice of F&B
outlets, an outdoor swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms and 14 versatile indoor event
and meeting spaces.

delighted to kick off our 2022 expansion drive by welcoming
Centara Riverside Hotel to our growing portfolio, one of several
hotels and resorts we plan to open this year,” said Thirayuth
Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer of Centara Hotels & Resorts.

Centara Riverside Hotel Chiang Mai is the group’s second
hotel in the northern Thai city after Khum Phaya Resort & Spa
which is a member of Centara Boutique Collection. A third Centara
hotel flying the group’s COSI flag is in the pipeline and
scheduled to open in Q1 2025.
“Chiang Mai is a key destination in Thailand for international as
well as domestic travelers,” said Amarin Narula, Board of Director of Chiangmai Riverside Plaza
Hotel Co., Ltd. “With this new partnership with Centara
Hotels and Resorts, we are confident that it will strengthen our
presence in both the leisure and MICE markets in Chiang Mai.”
Centara is aiming to expand its portfolio from 90
properties at present to around 200 hotels and resorts by 2026.
