Marriott has signed an agreement with Nanjing
OCT Properties to expand the W Hotels brand to Nanjing, China.
The W Nanjing, located along the southern bank of
the iconic Yangtze River, is scheduled to open in 2025.

collaboration with OCT Group with another exciting project,” said
Gavin Yu, Chief Development Officer, Greater China. “This signing
underscores Marriott International's commitment to its continued
growth in emerging first-tier cities of China through our Brand +
Destination development strategy.”
W Nanjing
W Nanjing will be part of
the OCT Fundland complex, bringing together culture and leisure
into a one-stop destination with office buildings, cultural
centers as well as luxury apartments situated on the bank of the
Yangtze River.
Set to be a local landmark, W Nanjing is being designed
by Mr. Richard Rogers, a well-known British architect.
The hotel is expected to feature 257
guest rooms and suites, four distinctive restaurants and
bars, as well as a signature destination bar.
With nearly 1,700 square meters of multi-functional space
equipped with the latest audiovisual technology, the hotel will
also target the MICE market.
There will also be a 24/7 fitness center, as well
as an expansive pool and
a spa.
Marriott International currently operates ten
hotels in Nanjing, with several new projects in the pipeline
spanning W Hotels, St. Regis, JW Marriott and Marriott Hotels.
The W
Nanjing is expected to mark the second W Hotel in Jiangsu
Province.
