The Four Seasons Singapore has appointed Tobias
Emmer as Hotel Manager.
Tobias Emmer
Tobias inherited the hospitality gene from
his uncle who spent his entire career in hotels and restaurants
across Germany. As a teenager, instead of getting a paper round
like his friends, Tobias chose to work in the kitchen where he
made salads and washed dishes.
Tobias’ career began in 2003 as an apprentice with
Mandarin Oriental Munich, where after three years he was appointed
Floor Supervisor. It wasn't long after that he moved to the
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London as Front Desk Receptionist,
rapidly moving up the ranks to become Duty Manager in 2009 and
then Front Office Manager in 2010. Tobias moved from London to the
vibrant city of Shanghai, China in 2012, joining the Mandarin
Oriental hotel there as Front Office Manager.
His first posting with Four Seasons came in 2015
when Tobias joined Four Seasons Resorts Maldives. His
professionalism and understanding of luxury hospitality again led
to a rapid series of promotions, and he was appointed Director of
Rooms in July 2017.
From Maldives, Tobias moved to Thailand in July
2018 as Resort Manager of the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden
Triangle in Chiang Rai, his most recent position prior to moving
to Singapore.
Originally from Germany, Tobias graduated with a
Bachelors of Tourism from the Open University Darmstadt.
