IHG Opens First voco Hotel in Vietnam

(13/06/23) IHG has expanded its portfolio of hotels in ASEAN with the opening of the voco Ma Belle Danang, the first voco hotel in Vietnam and 50th to open globally.

Located on Vo Nguyen Giap Street and surrounded by the iconic attractions of downtown Danang, voco Ma Belle Danang is a 27-storey hotel offering views of the coastline and cityscape, just steps from the soft sands of My Khe Beach.

Designed by dwp, a Vietnam-based studio, the hotel interior features curved walls and a teal, yellow and grey colour palette.

The rooms and suites comprise of timber with teal and grey finishes accentuated with bright pops of voco hotels’ signature yellow through upholstery and artwork.

As part of initiatives to reduce unnecessary waste, bathrooms feature refillable bathroom bulk amenities from Apotheke, a plant-based organic skincare company.

Facilities at the hotel include three restaurants and bars; over 521 sqm of flexible meeting and event space; a rooftop pool; spa and a 24-hour gym.

First launched in 2018, voco is one of IHG’s fastest-growing brands with 100 properties signed and opened globally. The company aims to have 200 voco properties in leading urban and leisure locations by 2028.

In Asia, the brand is present in key cities including voco Orchard Singapore, voco Seoul Gangnam, voco Hangzhou Binjiang Minghao and the newly opened, voco Osaka Central.
