Scandinavian Airlines Confirmed as Official Carrier for Routes Europe 2024

Dark/Light Mode (22/12/23)  Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has been confirmed as the Official Carrier for Routes Europe 2024, a leading airline route development and airport services conference and exhibition scheduled to take place at the Aarhus Congress Center in Denmark from 22 to 24 April 2024.

As the second largest city in Denmark and fifth largest metropolitan catchment in the Nordic region, Aarhus is expected to welcome more than 1,200 decision makers from airlines, airports and others involved with defining future air connectivity across the region.

To ensure that delegates will benefit from a seamless journey, SAS has confirmed that it will increase the frequency of flights to and from Aarhus Airport (AAR) especially for the event.

Sustainability is at the forefront of both the carrier’s and Aarhus’ agenda. SAS aims to reduce total CO2 emissions by 25% by 2025 and for all domestic SAS flights to be fossil free by 2030, while the city of Aarhus has set the goal of being a carbon neutral society by 2030.

Delegates attending the conference will hear directly from leaders of the airline, airport and destination about how sustainable aviation can be achieved in line with industry profitability.
