Air Astana Launches Flights Between Almaty and Tel Aviv, Israel

(07/09/23) Air Astana has launched direct flights between Almaty and Tel Aviv, Israel.

The Kazakhstan flag carrier will operate the service with two flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays using Airbus A321LR aircraft.

The outbound service from Almaty has a flight time of 6 hours 45 minutes, with the return flight from Tel Aviv taking 5 hours and 50 minutes.

On Thursdays, the flight from Almaty (ALA) to Tel Aviv (TLV) is scheduled to depart at 04:30 and arrive at 08:15, whilst on Sundays the flight will leave at 04:10 and arrive at 07:55.

Flights from Tel Aviv to Almaty on Thursdays and Sundays are slated to leave at 09:30, arriving in Almaty at 18:20.

Israeli citizens can stay in Kazakhstan visa-free for up to 30 days.

Air Astana, excluding its low cost subsidiary FlyArystan, operates an average of 38 flights per day to/from Almaty Airport.

The airline currently operates international services from Almaty to Antalya, Baku, Bangkok, Batumi, Beijing, Bishkek, Bodrum, Delhi, Dubai, Dushanbe, Heraklion, Istanbul, London (via Aktau), Phuket, Podgorica, Seoul, Tashkent, Tbilisi and now also Tel Aviv.

Air Astana will also launch flights from Almaty to Jeddah on 1 October, as well as to Urumqi and Male on 29 October 2023.

Air Astana's domestic services from Almaty include: Aktau, Aktobe, Astana, Atyrau, Kyzylorda, Oskemen, Shymkent and Uralsk.

FlyArystan, the low cost airline subsidiary of Air Astana, currently offers services from bases in Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktau and Shymkent, Kazakhstan to destinations in Azerbaijan, China, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, Turkey, UAE and Uzbekistan. The LCC will launch flights between Almaty and Delhi in late-September 2023.

The two airlines operate a fleet of 46 aircraft, comprising Airbus A320/A321 family aircraft, Boeing 767 and Embraer E2.

The cost of a round-trip Economy Class ticket between ALA and TLV starts from US$603 and from US$1,438 in Business Class.
