China Airlines Launches Direct Flights Between Taipei and Seattle, USA

(16/07/24) China Airlines has launched direct flights between Taipei and Seattle, USA.

The airline will initially operate the route with five flights per week using Airbus A350 aircraft, with plans to increase the service to daily flights once new aircraft and capacity is available.

Flight CI22 is scheduled to leave Taipei-Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, at 23:30, arriving at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA) at 19:50.

From Seattle, flight CI21 is timed to depart every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 01:40 and arrive in Taipei at 05:05, the following day.

Seattle joins Los Angeles, Ontario (CA), San Francisco, and New York in the US and Vancouver in Canada to become China Airlines’ sixth non-stop destination in North America.

Connecting flights are available from Seattle to more than 50 major inland US cities, with more than 80% being same-day transfers, a boon for US-Taiwan business travel and tourism.

The airline is also looking to expand its share of the transfer market in Asia through its extensive regional network of flights to Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, especially.

China Airlines now operates more than 40 return flights between Taiwan and the U.S. and Canada each week.
