Marriott Puts Together Consumer Operations Team
in Asia Pacific

Marriott has confirmed
a series of internal promotions and new appointments that
complete its Consumer Operations team in Asia Pacific excluding
China (APEC).
Completing the team is the recent appointment of
Jason Nuell as Vice President, Customer Experience and Food &
Beverage Design Services, APEC. Relocating from Marriott
International’s HQ, Jason was the Global Senior Vice President of
Premium Brands. In his new role, he will lead the regional brand
strategy, encompassing brand management, brand activation, and
brand design review for all brands across APEC. In addition, Jason
will provide overall F&B discipline expertise,
supporting global and regional initiatives, all of which are meant to
facilitate brand differentiation, superior guest experiences and
operational excellence.
Ramesh Daryanani has taken on the newly created
role of Vice President, Global Sales, Loyalty Operations and
Partnerships, APEC. Since joining Marriott in 2007,
Ramesh has been instrumental in developing trusted customer and
industry relationships. In his new role, Ramesh will drive
operational excellence for Marriott Bonvoy in APEC and lead
loyalty partnerships to create more value and engagement for the
travel program.
Tessa Rahardjo has been promoted to Vice
President, Revenue Strategy, APEC, leading the Revenue Strategy
discipline for the region with key responsibilities of driving
topline and market share performance, as well as talent growth and
development of Marriott’s Revenue Leaders. Tessa has a
multi-disciplinary background, with experience ranging from F&B,
revenue management, and various leadership roles ranging from
hotel, area, and regional responsibilities.
Mei Xue Ying has been promoted to Vice President,
Marketing, APEC, where she is responsible for the region’s
consumer portfolio marketing strategy for Premium and Select
brands, Loyalty, Food & Beverage, Digital and Performance
Marketing. In her elevated role, Xue Ying will continue with
greater portfolio coordination and improve awareness to increase
Marriott’s market share through creative demand generation
strategies.
Following her promotion to Vice President,
Marketing, South Asia, Khushnooma Kapadia will continue to lead
the region’s marketing and digital strategy, amplify brand
awareness, and grow loyalty and partnerships. Khushnooma’s has a
passion for creativity and deep understanding of the media
landscape in South Asia.
Relocating from Sydney to Singapore, Ashley Hansen
has been promoted to Vice President, Sales & Distribution, APEC
(excluding South Asia). Ashley is a highly experienced sales and
distribution leader with a proven track record of success with
almost 28 years of hospitality industry experience. He will lead the sales
and distribution function, steering teams to build long-term
customer relationships and leading the commercial strategy for
Marriott’s portfolio of hotels in APEC. Ashley is
also responsible for driving and executing Marriott’s global
distribution strategy, developing and executing initiatives that
will drive profitable growth for hotels in the APEC region.
Overseeing the sales, distribution, and
performance services for South Asia is Monisha Dewan, who has been promoted to Vice President Sales & Distribution, South Asia.
In her new position, she will also ensure that global distribution
strategies are seamlessly executed at the region’s properties. During her time with
Marriott, Monisha has been recognized on
multiple occasions for her outstanding performance.
With communications remaining a top priority for
Marriott, the company has appointed Wong Ching Yee
as Vice President, Communications, APEC. She will oversee
communications strategy and execution across both corporate and
brand public relations. Ching Yee has more than two decades of
communications experience spanning across global technology and
media companies such as Netflix, Instagram, and Viacom. Ching Yee
and her team will also drive internal communications to further
strengthen Marriott’s People First culture through strategic
associate engagement.
Based in Shanghai, Jason Zhang, Vice President,
Asia Pacific Digital, will continue to spearhead the Digital
Products and Platforms team. Jason will drive transformation for
digital customer experiences and has been instrumental in
launching several of Marriott’s digital capabilities in recent
years. Jason joined Marriott in 2018, bringing more than two
decades of experience from his time at leading management
consulting and technology companies.
Meanwhile, out of Bangkok, Mark Shrives, leads
Marriott Digital Services (MDS) as its Senior Director, Client
Services, APEC. Along with his team of over 35 digital
consultants, Mark guides Marriott International APEC’s portfolio
of hotels in the direct implementation of cutting-edge digital
strategies, simultaneously building an engaged yet creative data
driven culture.
